EMILY HARRIS Emily Harris has a background in fine art and theatre, receiving a BA Honours from the Glasgow School of Art. She formed and ran a successful theatre company in Scotland, before studying filmmaking at the London Film School. She then went on to earn a Masters in Producing for Film and Television with Tony Garnett at Royal Holloway University. For many years Emily worked as a film editor, with several award winning feature documentaries to her name. These include the internationally acclaimed and BIFA nominated feature documentary 'Tovarisch, I am not Dead', which she co-produced with double BAFTA Winner Stuart Urban, the HOTDOC premiere hit Love Arranged, the Bertha BritDoc Award winner We the People (aka 17NRI), she produced with two-time MipDoc Challenge Winner Soniya Kirpalani. In 2012 she joined the Victoria and Albert Museum in London as Head of Digital Recording, Theatre and Performance Department. The department has since produced the first ever V&A cinema release film of their ground-breaking exhibition, David Bowie Is. The film was broadcast onto 250 screens across the UK in August 2013 and is set for an international release in 2014. Emily continues to produce films for the V&A alongside her work with Indivision Films. |
